Hi, I’m Annabel Holland, Assistant Winemaker at First Creek Wines in the beautiful Hunter Valley.
I am lucky to work in an amazing destination that is the Hunter and also do something that makes me happy! I love wine. What’s not to love! When I see a glass of wine I see more than the liquid in front of me. This is because I have chosen the path to learn and understand the art of making and assessing wine.
Meet Ben Armstong. He is the highly talented Executive Chef of brand new Villa du Pays restaurant at Leogate Estate Wines owned by Bill and Vicki Widin. Ben is creating a Modern French cuisine with a country feel as well as a dry aged grass fed Black Angus program producing steaks of a very high quality. Recently returned from France where he spent the last 6 years working for world renowned chef’s The Pourcel Brothers. His role as corporate executive chef saw him traveling all over France and the World opening restaurants for the Brothers.
The vineyards are soon to be alive with the sound of floating melodies, scintillating story lines and truly beautiful musical scores led by ABC Classic FM broadcaster, Limelight columnist and all-round musical maestro, Mr Guy Noble. We had a chat with Guy while he is getting ready for the next enthralling installment of Opera in the Vineyards.
